Classification
Artifacts are found and classified in many different ways. Archaeologists normally go to ruins, tourist attractions and even places in the middle of nowhere to find artifacts and more about the past. Once found, artifacts are dated so we know what time they came from. Some ways used are Radiocarbon Dating, Thermoluminesence dating and Dendrochronology. Radiocarbon dating would probably be the most known one, and is used to date organic material.
Once dated, they are classified by their time period and are further inspected by the archaeologists.
