Ostracons

Significance: Ostracons were pieces of pottery, or sometimes, even stone that was used to carve words in it. In Egypt, limestone Ostracons were more common, as they were cheap, flaky and a lighter colour.
Some Ostracons have been found with Christian texts on them and some found in Egypt as well. Most Ostracons are found with a little writing, or a picture, but on a tomb, a whole story was carved into it.
